Abstract Pyrosequencing analysis of 16S ribosomal DNA amplified from Japanese fermented food "narezushi" was performed. Narezushi is a traditional form of Japanse modern "Sushi". The study showed that narezushi is mainly fermented by Lactobacillus strains.
