Streptococcus pyogenes cause a wide variety of infectious diseases, from relatively benign to life threatening. S. pyogenes can be subtyped according to the serotypes of the M proteins expressed on the cell surface. Particular M types of GAS have been associated with certain diseases, which suggests ..
