            <STUDY_ABSTRACT>We collected plaque samples formed on a hydroxyapatite disk for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7 days from Japanese young adults aged from 20 to 28 years by using removable resin splint. After DNA extraction from each plaque sample, the V1-V2 regions of 16S amplicon sequence were analyzed using a 454 Genome sequencer FLX. The project goal is to reveal the assembly process of dental plaque microbiota during maturation.</STUDY_ABSTRACT>
