            <STUDY_TYPE existing_study_type="Other"/>
            <STUDY_ABSTRACT>The goal of study is to identify the causative genes underlying hereditary traits found in Japanese quail mutant strains. For association analysis, F2 offspring were generated by crossing F1 hybrids between a single female of the L strain and a single male of the WE strain. Genomic DNAs were extracted from the parents and F2 offspring to construct ddRAD-seq libraries. The libraries were sequenced by Illimina Hiseq.</STUDY_ABSTRACT>
