      <STUDY_ABSTRACT>The project is to study the phytoplankton/protist biodiversity along two transects of Northwest Pacific Ocean. About 5 to 6 L seawater samples of each station in A and B transect were collected in April, 2015 during the cruise in Northwest Pacific Ocean. The seawater was filtered to 5-µm and 0.45-µm polycarbonate membrane (47-mm diameter) in sequence. DNA was extracted and two size fractions were combined for each sample. 18S rDNA were amplified by eukaryotes-universal primers embracing V4 region.</STUDY_ABSTRACT>
