      <STUDY_ABSTRACT>Identifying major stress response mechanisms in plants will benefit in developing breeding strategy. The present study was aimed to shed light on the molecular basis of root response of P.massoniana. In order to get a broad view of drought response mechanism, a highly accurate combined transcriptome sequencing study was carried out to uncover the molecular mechanism of drought response based on a transcriptome analysis between treatment group and its complementary control group. This study will deepen our understanding of the drought response mechanism of P.massoniana.</STUDY_ABSTRACT>
