<STUDY_ABSTRACT>In this work we studied the effect of elevated pCO2 and high substrate concentration on the product spectrum of mixed culture anaerobic degradation of a mixed substrate composed of glycerol and glucose. In parallel, we investigated the independent conversion of the employed substrates at elevated pCO2 and the mixture with a non-reactive headspace (nitrogen). We employed fed-batch operation regime in order to evaluate the effects of the biomass adaptation to the pressurized incubation in product formation and substrate consumption.</STUDY_ABSTRACT>
