      <STUDY_ABSTRACT>A RNAseq study to identify genes differentially expressed in the leaf, when a necrotic phenotype is observed, in plants that are the progeny of IL2 (Hermann et al 2013).Lines analysed are derived from a single IL2 plant heterozygous (P. axillaris-P exserta) for the introgression (P. exserta background). The IL2 heterozygous plant was selfed and its progeny genotyped to select plants with homozygous P. axillaris, homozygous P. exserta or heterozygous introgression. The plants with P. axillaris homozygous introgression display necrosis on the leaf. The samples were collect at the first appearance of the symptoms for the P. axillaris homozygous line, while for the other two genotypes leaves at the corresponding stage were collected.</STUDY_ABSTRACT>
