<STUDY_ABSTRACT>Alternaria longipes is the main pathogen causing tobacco brown spot, one of the most serious diseases of tobacco. To characterize the roles of miRNAs in Alternaria longipes infection on N. benthamiana (Nicotiana benthamiana), sRNA sequences in response to Alternaria longipes infection were identified through high-throughput sequencing. This study primarily clarified the potential roles of miRNAs during Alternaria longipes infection, and provide critical information for deeply undertaken the infection mechanism of Alternaria longipes on plants.</STUDY_ABSTRACT>
