Previous study showed that theaflavins inhibit the biofilm formation and virulence factors production in Streptococcus mutans. However, the underlying mechanims are not fully understand. In this project, the molecular mechanisms of the inhibitory effect of theaflavins on Streptococcus mutans were investigated at the transcription level.</STUDY_ABSTRACT>
