<STUDY_ABSTRACT>Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a complex and multidimensional phenomenon attributed to the overuse and misuse of antibiotics in the animal, human, and environment sectors. The emergence, evolution, and dissemination of antibiotic-resistant bacteria within this interface, including Escherichia coli, has become a worldwide concern. This project aims to understand the molecular mechanisms of drug-resistance in E. coli isolates of animal, human and environmental origin from the northwest of Mexico through a genomic perspective and One Health context.</STUDY_ABSTRACT>
