<STUDY_ABSTRACT>Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. phaseoli is one of the causal agents of the common bacterial blight of bean. This seed-borne disease is worldwide distributed and is responsible for serious economic damages to the bean production. This justifies that this pathogen is classified in quarantine lists in countries that are still disease-free. Causal agents of common bacterial blight are phylogenetically diverse, and a better knowledge of genome sequences will help to gain access to bacterial determinants of host specificity.</STUDY_ABSTRACT>
