      <STUDY_TITLE>Association of gut microbiota with soluble fiber and Alzheimers Disease</STUDY_TITLE>
      <STUDY_TYPE existing_study_type="Other"/>
      <STUDY_ABSTRACT>In this study, we aimed to evaluate whether the segregated effect of agave fructans in the gut microbiota of Alzheimers disease transgenic mice can impact in short chain fatty acids generation, brain amyloid aggregation, neuroinflammation, synaptic integrity and cognitive performance, all events related with different stages of Alzheimers disease. We found that gut microbiota diversity changes and its derived-products from soluble fiber fermentation can be related to Alzheimers disease biomarkers, having a positive effect on several of its related features.</STUDY_ABSTRACT>
