<STUDY_ABSTRACT>Small RNA sequencing profiles to determine the effects on the production and methylation of small RNAs in the presence or lack of Ago2. Therefore, Aedes aegypti-derived AF5 cells or Ago2 knockout cells (AF525) were infected with Semliki Forest virus. To determine the methylation, total RNA was either left untreated or treated by beta-elimination; following small RNA sequencing. Results show that endogenous and exogenous siRNA methylation is dependent on the presence of Ago2.</STUDY_ABSTRACT>
