      <STUDY_TYPE existing_study_type="Other"/>
      <STUDY_ABSTRACT>Alzheimers disease is the most common cause of dementia. AD patients have altered gut microbiota which are affected by multiple factors. SCFAs are major microbial metabolites produced upon fermentation of dietary fiber by the gut microbiota. Currently, how SCFAs affect gut microbiota in AD is unclear, and therefore 16S marker gene analysis on mouse caecal samples was conducted.</STUDY_ABSTRACT>
