<STUDY_ABSTRACT>Fastq files from Illumina MiSeq 250bp single end sequencing of the V4 region of the 16S rRNA gene using primers 515F and barcoded 806R. Sample DNA was collected from cloacal swabs of captive and wild house finches in 2020 from birds originating in Blacksburg, Virginia. Samples were collected as part of a study identifying the role of the gut microbiome on disease (conjunctivitis) by disrupting the gut microbiome with antibiotics.</STUDY_ABSTRACT>
