      <DESIGN_DESCRIPTION>Total RNA was isolated from prepared sperm heads using TRIzol reagent. Sodium acetate, glycogen and ethanol was added to the aqueous phase and incubated over night at 4C. Tube was centrifuged for 20 minutes at 16,000  g at 4C, supernatant was discarded. Precipitated DNA was washed once more with 500 l ethanol 70%.</DESIGN_DESCRIPTION>
