<STUDY_ABSTRACT>We sought to identify the microbiota of intestinal mucosa and associated digesta in Atlantic salmon (S. salar) with and without clinical skin signs of SRS. At the same time, identifying which bacterial phyla are predominant under infectious outbreaks of SRS was a priority of this research in order to establish the basis for future comparisons between episodes in salmon farming centers.</STUDY_ABSTRACT>
