      <STUDY_ABSTRACT>We evaluated the effect of methanol (MeOH) fixation on adult murine dentate gyrus (DG) single cell suspensions. Overall design: Freshly and methanol-fixed neuronal and non-neuronal cells from the DG of adult C57BL/6J mice were isolated by Fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS), according to the presence or absence of Sytox AADvanced™ Dead Cell Stain, and analyzed using SOrting and Robot-assisted Transcriptome SEQuencing (SORT-seq), a partially robotized version of the CEL-seq2 protocol.</STUDY_ABSTRACT>
