      <STUDY_ABSTRACT>The DNA from the samples was extracted using the PowerSoil DNA Isolation Kit. A NanoDrop 2000 microspectrophotometer was used to determine the purity and concentration of the extracted DNA, agarose gel electrophoresis was used to check the integrity of DNA. In the PCR experiments, the V3 and V4 region of the bacterial 16S rRNA gene was amplified in a thermocycler PCR system using the primers 338F and 806R. Purified amplicons were pooled in equimolar and paired-end sequenced on an Illumina MiSeq platform according to the standard protocols.</STUDY_ABSTRACT>
