<STUDY_ABSTRACT>A total of 53 subjects were included, categorized into two groups: a healthy control group (29 individuals) and a silicosis patient group (24 individuals). Saliva samples were collected from each participant, and total DNA was extracted and preserved. Subsequently, the V3-V4 region of the 16S rRNA gene was sequenced, and bioinformatics tools were employed to assess the composition and diversity of the oral microbiota. The goal was to identify characteristic flora associated with RCS exposure and silicosis in the respective groups.</STUDY_ABSTRACT>
