<STUDY_ABSTRACT>The pygmy grasshopper T. japonica is a common insect distributed all over the world, and may have a potential as model species to study body colour polymorphism, genomics and biology of Tetrigoidea (Insecta: Orthoptera). Here we conducted de novo transcriptome of T.japonica that would provide a better understanding of the gene expression and genomic resource for future work. We sequenced and explored the characteristics of de novo transcriptome of T.japonica.</STUDY_ABSTRACT>
