      <STUDY_TYPE existing_study_type="Other"/>
      <STUDY_ABSTRACT>DNA from plasma and matching tumour biopsy from cancer patients were sequenced using a 50-gene cancer hotspot panel, to determine whether the same mutations are detected in plasma DNA and tumour DNA from a given patient. Our eventual aim is to find out whether plasma DNA sequencing from a blood sample could be used for monitoring and in treatment decisions for cancer patients, which would be especially important when the biopsy procedure poses significant risk to the patient.</STUDY_ABSTRACT>
