      <STUDY_TYPE existing_study_type="Other"/>
      <STUDY_ABSTRACT>Somatic mutations are thought to be a cause of aging and occur at a higher rate than germline mutations, but their low abundance has made them difficult to detect. Here, we present the genomes of a quartet (two children and both parents) of mice, as well as the bulk DNA and single cell amplicons from a fifth, unrelated individual. Together, these genomes allow a direct comparison of the somatic and germline mutation rates.</STUDY_ABSTRACT>
