We have sequenced the genome to bring out the uniqueness of the genes in this particular crop.The goal of the project is to identify genes for oleo-resin and aromatic compound synthesis to address it's medicinal properties .No information is yet available on markers usable for marker assisted selection and breeding in this crop.
