<STUDY_ABSTRACT>Leafy spurge has been used as a model organism for studying dormancy in perennial herbaceous plants and other weediness traits. The goals of this project were to create a genomic resource for leafy spurge and to assemble the gene-space as best we could from our limited sequences. SAMN07691944 contains two different PE libraries from a collection of shoot tips from one cloned individual SAMN07691961 contains two different PE libraries from a collection of shoot tips from a (potentially) different cloned individual SAMN07693206 contains PE reads from a set of 12 different ChIP-seq libraries that showed very poor enrichment for the target sequence but which therefore contained a lot of genomic sequence data. These libraries were made from bud samples from an uncharacterized mix of individuals from a small population of plants that had been maintained clonally for many years. These samples were cleaned and processed and then used in two different assembly protocols- one in which the gene-space sequences were selected prior to assembly (PRJNA413193) and the other assembly was from the total set of cleaned fragments for whole genome assembly (PRJNA411945).</STUDY_ABSTRACT>
