      <DESIGN_DESCRIPTION>Total RNA was isolated from the frozen seedlings of tartary buckwheat using an RNeasy Mini Kit (Qiagen, Valencia, USA) and cleaned by ethanol precipitation. We removed the rRNAs in the total RNA using a ribo-zero rRNA removal kit (Epicentre, RZPL11016) and constructed a cDNA library for RNA sequencing using a TruSeq stranded total RNA sample prep kit-LT set A and B (Illumina, RS-122-2301 and 2302) according to the manufacturer s instructions (Illumina, San Diego, CA, USA).
