<STUDY_ABSTRACT>low-molecular-weight chitosan oligosaccharides (LCOS) show potential prebiotics effects on human gut health and gut microbiota.Eleven LCOS with molecular weight less than 1500 Da are studied for their fermentabilities by human microbiome in the vitro batch fermentation model. 16S rDNA sequencing can demonstrate the changes of microbiome community structures after fermentation, and the short chain fatty acids (SCFAs) have been increase compared control group.</STUDY_ABSTRACT>
