      <STUDY_TYPE existing_study_type="Other"/>
      <STUDY_ABSTRACT>The impetus to work on bacterial pigments is due to pigments from natural environment have great demand in several industrial applications as colorants and in pharmaceutical industries over synthetic pigments. Marine environment is an unending enormous source to explore and to exploit several natural compounds like pigments from microbes; however studies have been so far limited to explore marine pigment bacteria for various applications. Thus the present project has been focused on marine pigmented bacteria for novel pigment molecules for biomedical applications and food industreis.</STUDY_ABSTRACT>
