<STUDY_ABSTRACT>The nurse shark (Ginglymostoma cirratum) is used as a "primitive" model of the adaptive immune system found in all jawed vertebrates. In this study we selected BACs from the nurse shark library (GC__Ba, Arizona Genomics Institute), that were positive for TCR gene segments to produce assemblies of ancient TCR loci.</STUDY_ABSTRACT>
