This README describes the file G1K_samples_20111108.ped

This file follows the conventions of plink ped files as describes
http://pngu.mgh.harvard.edu/~purcell/plink/data.shtml#ped
The first 6 columns are part of the plink ped standard, the subsequent columns provides 
additional information

The columns are as follows

1 Family ID       coriel family id/sample name
2 Individual ID   sample name
3 Paternal ID     father's sample name
4 Maternal ID     mother's sample name
5 Gender  1 = male, 2 = female
6 Phenotype       0 as these samples have no phenotype info
7 Population      Sub population of sample, 
see ftp://ftp.1000genomes.ebi.ac.uk/vol1/ftp/README.populations for descriptions
8 Other info      Additional relationship information as intitially provided
9 Relationships from Pemberton et al AJHG 2010 
Relationship information derived from Inference of Unexpected Genetic Relatedness among 
Individuals in HapMap Phase III Pemberton et all AJHG 2010

Please note that some relationships from the Pemberton paper were undefined, it was indicated 
there was a parent/child or first degree relationship between the individuals but the 
directionality was undefined
