description Estrogen receptor alpha (ER) regulates estrogen-dependent cancer progression and is expressed in most breast cancer cells. However, the molecular mechanisms regulating both the cellular level of ER and ER activity remain unclear. We found that calcineurin regulates both the stability and the activity of ER. To investigate the role of calcineurin in ER-positive breast cancer cells, RNA-sequencing was performed in PPP3CA knockdown MCF7 cells.
