title Roles of NNMT in cancer-induced gene expression changes in the liver
description Cancers cause various abnormalities in various host organs. Yet, the comprehensive picture of such abnormalities is not available yet. The nature of cancer and host factors underlying cancer's adverse effects on the host is poorly characterized. We recently found that nicotinamide-N-methyltransferase (NNMT) is a host factor that mediates cancer-induced liver abnormalities. In this study, we aimed to understand how cancers affect liver transcriptome using WT and Nnmt KO.
