title Gene expression profile of Hikeshi knockout hTERT-RPE1 cell during and after heast shock stress
description During heat shock stress, nuclear import of the molecular chaperone Hsp70s is upregulated by an evolutionary conserved protein Hikeshi. Depletion of Hikeshi reduced the survival of HeLa cells, but increased the survival of hTERT-RPE1 cells in response to proteotoxic stress. In order to reveal the molecular basis of these different phenotypes, we examined gene expression profiles of Hikeshi-knockout hTERT-RPE1 cells during heat shock stress and its recovery.
