The genome sequencing of cultivated strawberry (F. x ananassa) was
performed in the two assembly methods taking into account the
heterozygosity, because the F. x ananassa is octoploid species. One
is the assembly named FANhybrid_r1.2, which was assembled to
eliminate the heterozygous bases by integrating the homoeologous
sub-genomes. The other is the assembly named FAN_r1.1, which was
assembled with octoploidity.
FANhybrid_r1.2: This assembly was performed by integrating the
homoeologous sub-genomes to eliminate the heterozygous bases. First,
the reads obtained by Roche 454 GS FLX+ were assembled by Newbler
2.7. Next, the reads obtained by Illumina GAIIx/HiSeq1000 were
assembled by SOAPdenovo v1.05. The illumina scaffold sequences
without similarity against the 454 scaffold sequences were further
assembled by Newbler 2.7. After these assemblies, the scaffold
sequences asssembled by Newbler 2.7 were merged. |
