Pollen grains from three cultivars in two Prunus species, P. avium and P. mume, were subjected to mRNAseq analyses by Illumina HiSeq 2000. After trimming procedures, each informative 29,812,682, 35,162,899, 32,728,911 reads for cvs. Satonishiki (P. avium), Kairyo-Uchida-Ume and Nanko (P. mume), respectively, were mapped to predicted mRNA transcripts sequences in the peach genome database (from GDR, Prunus_persica_v1.0) and mRNA contig collections in P. mume database by BWA/Sam tools, and subjected to DEseq analysis in R. Using these results, we grasped general components expressed in pollen of Prunus, and examined differences in expression levels among genes, especially on S-locus-linked F-box (SFB/SLFL) genes and their orthologs, with discussion of their evolutionary path. |
