title Bacterial Community Structure in the Seawater Pond
description To explore the characteristics of bacterial diversity and community structure of the seawater polyculture pond with shrimps, crabs and shellfishes at the different stages of aquaculture, we investigated a typical seawater ployculture and a non-culture pond (control) in Ganyu county, Lianyungang, Jiangsu province, China. Bacterial community composition was characterized using the V4-V5 region of 16S ribosomal DNA analysis by Illumina Miseq. Results of this study helps to improve our understanding of the bacterial community in a complex aquaculture ecosystem and to regulate water quality, reduce disease and enhance aquaculture production quantity and quality.
