title Multiple silencing mechanisms specifically depend on H3K36 trimethylation in fission yeast.
description Previous reports showed that H3K36 methlytransferase Set2 is related to silencing in fission yeast. However, the silencing machinery mediated Set2 is unclear. The aim of this study is understanding of silencing pathway by Set2 in fission yeast. In the cells H3K36me is related to transcription. Additionally, pattern of H3K36me3 is different from that of H3K36me2. For the aim, we confirmed pattern of H3K36me3 and H3K36me2 using ChIP-Seq. Our study might lead to a new therapy for cancer mediated H3K36me.
