description To better understand stress-induced agarwood formation, it is important and significant to study the molecular mechanism of A. malaccensis responses to stress from a whole genome perspective. we study the mechanism of stress-induced agarwood formation pathway using callus culture by assembling transcriptome library from mRNA reads sequenced using next-generation sequencing of two libraries: healthy and stressed callus cultures. We compared gene expression profiles of the two libraries, annotate their functions and assign their enzymatic pathways.
