title Analysis of chromatin marks at TERRA locus
description TERRA is long non-coding RNA transcribed from telomere although telomeres are heterochromatin where is enriched with transcriptionally silent chromatin marks such as H3K9me3. However, how TERRA expression is regulated at such heterochromatin remains unknown. To show relationship between TERRA expression and chromatin marks, we investigated the genomic occupancy of H3K27ac in K562 cells by ChIP-Seq. Since telomeric repeat sequence TTAGGG is found not only terminal region but also internal region of chromosome, short reads with TTAGGG repeat sequence derived from internal region of chromosome may be aligned to telomeres by mistake. To avoid this limitation and assess chromatin structure properly, we performed ChIP-Seq with 150 bp paired-end. Reference genome used for this project is also included in this project.
