title Indium lung disease
description Indium compounds are materials used in the manufacture of transparent conductive films for flat panel displays. Indium tin oxide (ITO) is the most commonly used compound; it consists of indium oxide and about 10% (wt) tin oxide. Inhalation of indium compounds is known to cause respiratory damage. Occupational inhalation of ITO is linked to a new occupational disease named indium lung disease.
