Transcriptional profiling comparison during AM development between L. japonicus and tomato |
description |
Seedlings of Lotus japonicus MG-20 and Solanum lycopersicum cv. Micro-Tom were inoculated with 500 spores per plant of Rhizophagus irregularis DAOM 197198 in pots filled with autoclaved river sand. The inoculated and non-inoculated plants were supplied with a half-strength Hoagland solution containing a low concentration of 0.1 mM KH2PO4 every other day. The plants were grown in a growth chamber for 4 weeks. For the preparation of RNA-seq samples, RNA were extracted from the four sample conditions, L. japonicus AMF roots, L. japonicus nonAMF roots, tomato AMF roots, and tomato nonAMF roots. Paired end sequencing was conducted with the Illumina HiSeq 2000 Sequencing System. |
