title Identification of mRNAs that associate with Drosophila Mbf1 protein
description Multiprotein-bridging factor 1 (Mbf1) protein is originally identified as an evolutionarily conserved nuclear coactivator protein that connects a transcriptional activator with TATA element-binding protein. However, Mbf1 protein is mainly present in the cytoplasm. Under stressed conditions, Mbf1 protein translocates into the nucleus to induce stress-response genes. Indeed its cytoplasmic role is, if anything, underestimated. Recent several reports in yeast demonstrated that Mbf1 protein was bound to mRNAs in vivo. Here we performed comprehensive study by mRIP-seq analysis to identify the Drosophila Mbf1 protein-associated mRNAs.
