Genome diversity and regional adaptation of rice |
description |
A number of 7 cultivated rice genomes, which have been used as doners for the development of CSSLs are resequenced in depth (average coverage=52X) by using the NGS technology. Mapping of the NGS reads to the Nipponbare reference genome is performed for comparative genomics to characterize the sequence diversity for a number of heading-date related genes within the population of Asian cultivated rice . Our results provide important evidence for understanding of the evolutionary mechanisms and functional roles of these genes on the regional adaptation of rice cultivars. |
