title Japan MAGIC population in rice
description Multi-parent Advanced Generation Inter-Cross (MAGIC) lines instead of biparental recombinant inbred lines attracts researchers and breeders especially at the point of more broadening genotypic variation in population. We developed the JAPAN-MAGIC (JAM) population derived from eight high-yield rice cultivars and revealed the phenotypic diversity of them. Genetic analysis by using both haplotype data and allelic information of gene loci also can help us to select the canidiate genes controlling yield related traits. Here, we registered three parental cultivars for JAM lines. Other five parental cultivars have been already registered in DRA002219.
