organism Stevia rebaudiana
title Transcriptome analysis of Stevia tissues
description Stevia (Stevia rebaudiana) belonging to the Asteraceae family (2n=22) is a perennial herb and is famous for its sweetness. In an attempt to understand the biosynthetic pathways of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), we acquired the transcriptome data from four different tissues of stevia using the RNA-Seq method. Here, we report a detailed analysis of VOCs emitted by stevia tissues, de novo assembly of the of stevia leaf, flower, stem and root transcriptomes and annotatation the unigenes.
