Fungal community structure in upland red soil was determined under long-term fertilization. The field experiment involved seven treatments: no fertilization (control), inorganic NPK fertilizer (N), inorganic NPK fertilizer plus liming (NL), and inorganic NPK fertilizer plus peanut straw (NPS), rice straw (NRS), radish (NR), and pig manure (NPM). The objectives of the study were to (1) investigate the effect of long-term (27 years) application of inorganic and organic amendment on soil structure, overall prokaryotic and fungal communities, amino sugars and their contribution to SOC; and (2) evaluate the relationships between amino sugars and microbial communities. |
