title ChIP-seq analysis of RNA polymerase II and histone H3 in fission yeast cells.
description The fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe is an ideal model organism for studying epigenetics. As S. pombe typically grows as haploid cells and possesses a small genome (12.8 Mb), interpretation of ChIP-seq data is easier than other organisms of larger genome size.In this project, we sequenced chromatin immunoprecipitated and corresponding input DNA samples to obtain genomic landscapes of RNA polymerase II and histone H3 in wild-type and silencing mutant cells (deletants of clr4 and spt6).
