title Circatidal rhythmic expression in mangrove cricket
description Mangrove crickets Apteronemobius asahinai are endemic to mangrove forest floors. They show circatidal rhythmicity with the period of 12.6 hours in their locomotor activity under constant condition. Their free-running activity also show circadian component, i.e. they are more active during subjective night than day. In the present study, we investigated rhythmic gene expression under constant darkness by RNA-seq to evaluate genes related to circatidal clock. Samples collected every three hours over a period of 48 h were analyzed.
