Reproductive ecology of dusky frillgoby |
description |
In the dusky frillgoby, nest holding males was bothered from sneaking males during spawning events. Spawning is happen in the nest, but many males are coming to ejaculate their sperm. However, sometimes the nest holders show fin beating behavior after sneaking. This behavior may be used for sperm removal. To exam the hypothesis, we conduct the paternity analysis and compare results between those with or without fin beating. For the analysis, we sequenced the DNA to make the microsatellite markers. |
